Functions of the Section
- Formulate and implement plans at the Departmental level to ensure effective record-keeping and statistics management throughout the institution.
- Devise efficient and reliable methods of record keeping at the university, ensuring that all departments follow standardized practices.
- Ensure that all statistics and records are maintained to the required standards and kept up to date at all times, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist all Faculties, Directorates, Institutes, Regional Centers, and Units in adopting good record-keeping practices, including the registry and examinations, providing guidance and support.
- Plan and implement procedures for the proper disposal or recycling of outdated records, maintaining compliance with data protection regulations.
- Take charge of day-to-day management of statistics and records at the university, overseeing data entry, maintenance, and retrieval processes.
- Be responsible for the preparation and regular updating of the Facts and Figures Booklet, providing accurate and current institutional data.
- Report relevant statistics and record-related matters to the Quality Assurance Committee, ensuring transparency and accountability in data management.
- Propose policy matters aimed at improving the university’s Quality Assurance Policy and Operational Procedures concerning statistics and records.
- Website Maintenance: Ensure the University website updated with the latest statistics and records, making sure that relevant information is readily accessible to stakeholders and the public.
