Foreigners who wish to improve in listening, speaking, writing and reading.
Level I – Level III
I: Elementary Swahili (12 Weeks)
Elementary Swahili majors in speaking skill and Swahili culture.
II: Intermediate Swahili (8 Weeks)
Intermediate focus on all language skills and Swahili culture.
III: Advanced Swahili (8 Weeks)
Intermediate focus on all skills and Swahili culture.

A student who will attend this program will be capable of conversing in Kiswahili at a near-native speaker level in all language skills: speaking; listening; writing and reading.
At the end of the course, there will be an optional oral and written test. Students who pass the test will be awarded The Kiswahili Proficiency Certificate plus a Certificate of Attendance. The test carries 100% marks.
Those who do not need a proficiency certificate will be awarded a certificate of attendance and will not be required to sit for the proficiency test
