Bachelor of Business Administration Accounting (BBA-ACC)
The BBA (Acc) programme aims to produce accounting professionals who are not only technically competent but who also have high ethical standards and good business sense, to well prepare them to surmount the challenges in an ever-changing global economic environment. The BBA (Acc.) programme is also a full-fledged business degree with a specialized rigorous focus on accountancy. The Graduates of the BBA (Acc.) degree programme at OUT are qualified to directly enter the professional stage of the Intermediate course for becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) professional. On successful completion of this program, students are expected to be able to Analyse costs, risks, and financial reports for management and financial decision-making purposes, Apply accounting theory in preparation of cost accounts, financial accounts and financial statements for reporting organizations outcomes. A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Programme of the Open University of Tanzania if he/she has obtained: Certificate of secondary education examination (CSEE) or east Africa certificate of education (ordinary level) or equivalent with passes in at least four relevant subjects, obtained prior to the sitting of the advanced certificate of secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent and either two principal passes in advanced certificate of secondary education examination (ACSEE) or equivalent OR relevant Diploma from recognized institution with GPA of 3.0 or above

All courses are examined during the academic year in which they are studied
Examination consist of one timed test and written examination

- Written examination account for 70%
